  1. This trip, I greatly enjoyed the skiing and would probably select it as my favorite part. As far as Shabbat goes, my favorite part was staying up late, spending time with my fellow schoolmates. The moral dilemmas were also a big hit this year. Props.
    Happy Trails,
    Dylan

  2. Well, this year, just like Dylan, I really liked skiing simply because that is the main event of the trip, and I love improving my skills. On Shabbat, my favorite part would probably be all the free time we had; so much happens during all that time. This year's Gatlinburg Shabbaton was just very exciting in general and I greatly look forward to next year when I might just try my luck with snowboarding. Enjoy the free day everyone!
    Praying for snow,

  3. My first Gatlinburg trip was phenomenal. My favorite part was definitely skiing just like Dylan and Jacob. I had a blast on all those mountains. My favorite part of shabbos was the camaraderie and also being together with all the rabbis. I also enjoyed the singing.
I Cant wait for next year's ski trip.

  4. A real shocker here but my favorite part of the Gatlinburg trip was skiing just like Akiva, Dylan, and Jake. It was just simply a thrilling experience and was so much fun. My favorite part of Shabbos had to be when Gabe G, Dylan, and I scaled the side of the neighboring hotel and jumped along and over rocks to get to the other side of the stream. It was intense and a bit scary, but it was so cool. Gatlinburg ROCKED!

  5. My favorite part of the trip was simply the hike. There is nothing I admire more than exploring the beauty of the natural rain-forests. The muddy ground and the destruction of our shoes topped that off. Seriously, the hike was at best horrific. What was truly exciting was the town on Saturday night, an activity only available in Gatlinburg (not Jackson). You, Rabbi Lubetski, will argue: can't you go to a town in any other city? The answer is of course; however,it has become a Gatlinburg tradition that the town in Gatlinburg is our favorite. Tradition, in fact, is what is key. My favorite part of the Sabbath was Maariv in the end. It not only meant the conclusion to an incredibly interesting Shabbos but it also meant we could daven together in a minyon as the Shabbos came to a close. You may argue that Maariv is not apart of Shabbos. That is simply the point!

  7. My most favorite part of the Gatlinburg trip was the skiing. I never learnt how to ski, and after I got the hang of it, i really enjoyed it. My favorite part of the Gatlinburg Shabbat was the wonderfull singing and dancing. The singing and dancing really helped my Neshama.
