I am not happy

I cannot understand why we have so much work due coming up in Chumash class. All of a sudden we have two quizzes on friday, a project due monday, three pages of a worksheet, and another project due soon after the first project. Plus we have six more classes that all give work, and we get home from school at six O' clock. This is just way too much back to back work and projects and quizzes and worksheets, etc. The work load definately needs to be spread out over a longer period.

  1. I couldn't agree more. Chumash is more work than all of the other classes combined.

  2. Isaac Graber is making a valid point that should be looked at by the teacher. The fact that we have a two quizzes on friday is utterly preposterous and then to add to that, as Isaac mentioned, projects and worksheets. We have way to much work to deal with and it just is not right. I agree with Isaac and think that this should seriously be looked over and the amount of work we have should decrease in this class.

  3. Isaac raises a solid point; however, you cannot simply tell your teacher that the work "needs to be spread out over a longer period." Time is an element of life none can fix. But it is possible to ask for a different reduction that will appease the hearts of the Chumash 9/10 H students. That plea is to be rid of the irksome Parasha quizzes. As aforementioned on this very blog, you CAN teach the Parasha without giving quizzes. It's teacher-tested, teacher-approved. As I introduced before, I personally believe we should lead intelligent discussion on Fridays concerning the week's Parasha and receive a grade based upon our levels or participation.
    Happy Trails,

  4. Seems like you are all overburdened with work. I will try to spread it out over more time. So far, if anyone has asked for an extension and it was for a valid reason I have given it to them. I will update SOIN soon so that you know when everything is due.
