resume and cover letter

Rabbi Lubetski,

Akiva and I did our resume, but it was not good along with everybody else's first try. What do you want us to do to fix it? You showed us your resume and cover letter and it was over a page or two. Do you want ours to be as long as that or shorter so we can explain it more? Also, what exactly are we supposed to put on our cover letter that's different from what we put on our resume?

  1. I'll help you out tomorrow, Isaac. I believe I will be able to answer these questions and show you some notes the Rabbi gave during class a few weeks ago. You'll be fine.

  3. Very nice of Dylan to help. I happened to enjoy the class today. It is nice to sometimes sit back and talk about learning in general and its importance. Hope to continue the conversation tomorrow!

  4. I agree with Ethans point. I thought it was nice to get a discussion going amongst the class. The comments were intelligent and overall the conversation was scintillating

  5. I really enjoyed the discussion in class. I do think that it is important to have grades in gemara class because if we didn't, I do not think that anyone would try to learn.

  6. First of all, cudos to Gabe for saying scintillating, that's a pretty big word.
Second of all, I did enjoy the discussion. It was nice to talk about things relevant to our lives and I believe the topics we discussed can bring about positive changes in the school.
Third of all, I do believe we should have grades in Gemara, but there should not be as many assignments due to our extremely tough General Studies schedule. Now, I am not saying that Hebrew studies are not important, but they should be taught in a way that we should want to learn so that we will voluntarilly learn in the future and not have it shoved down our throats today. Plus, General Studies count as high school credits and Hebrew Studies don't so we need to make sure we do well in General Studies over Hebrew Studies for that purpose.

  7. I believe I need some assistance on my resume and cover letter as well. Although I did not think my resume and cover letter needed revisions, apparently they do. I need some help from your beautiful resume-creating skills to make my own. Thanks!
