The ten plagues

Today in class the ten plagues caught my attention. i like how we get to focus on each one and its uniqueness. These plagues really show the might of god and the selfishness of Pharaoh. This is the first time that i have actually paid close attention to each plague and i enjoyed doing it.

  1. I agree with Yaakov. I enjoyed class today as well because we got to focus on each plague at a time and pay extra attention to each one.

  2. I found the question of why Hashem dragged the freeing of the Israelites out for so long. I get that it was to show His superiority and might and that it was to teach PAraoh a lesson but you may be able to kind of compare it to the holacaust. So many babies were killed and people died in extreme slavery conditions. Why did HAshem allow that?

  3. Hashem makes decisions and sometimes the question is simply stronger than the answer. In this case, we outlined three reasons: punitive, vengeful and didactic. These answers did not truly answer your (Gabriel's) question. I think it was simply God's plan and humanity cannot question it. But it seems to me like that is a very valid question.
Yaakov Kaplan: I enjoy working with you on the plagues.
Akiva: I will see you tomorrow backstage - unfortunately, we will not be able to attend class tomorrow, due to play's dress rehearsal.
Rabbi: I thoroughly enjoyed your intro. to today's class and found it very interactive and appealing.
    Happy Trails,

  4. I understand this is coming a day late, but I also admired the concern our class had for the plagues. Even greater was today's bashing on Rabbi. Don't worry Rabbi, some of it was out of love. And I am looking forward to the purim projects, sounds like fun.
